The Challenge
China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile communications company, had less than 6 months to prepare a world-class operation for the Grand Opening of its Information and Communications Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Having invested hundreds of millions of RMB in its facility and show, China Mobile was determined to make sure the service provided to its guests matched the high quality of its entertainment product.
Our Role
MR ProFun placed on-site an elite team of experienced entertainment professionals with functional expertise in attraction operations, guest services, staff training, and facility management. This team oversaw the implementation and management of the entire Operations organization, all Operating processes, and all day-to-day Pavilion activity during the 186-day run of the Expo.
Value Delivered
The MR ProFun team delivered a highly trained 300-person staff that successfully hosted more than 3 million Pavilion guests, making the ICP one of the most-visited corporate attractions at the biggest World Expo in history. The world-class guest experience at the ICP was reflected in its nomination for the Expo’s Best Hospitality Award and it’s recognition with a coveted THEA Award in 2011.
